At Atkore, we’re always looking ahead – designing and delivering cable management and infrastructure solutions that not only meet today’s challenges but anticipate tomorrow’s needs. That’s why we are proud to be the manufacturer of one of the newest additions to our solar portfolio: the Atkore PV Shelters.
Engineered specifically for the renewables sector, the PV Shelters offer a simple and flexible solution for protecting power equipment in solar and energy storage applications. Whether you’re rolling out a new solar install or retrofitting an existing system, our PV Shelters are a game-changer in speed, strength and adaptability.
Key Features at a Glance
- Robust Atkore Unistrut Framing in Defender Finish
Built on our proven Atkore Unistrut metal framing system, the PV Shelters’ structure uses Defender-coated components – offering superior corrosion resistance that’s ideal for tough European weather conditions. Our standard configuration includes also a Defender-coated roof. - Four standard models from which customers can choose to cover any application: double/back-to-back shelter as a stand-alone solution, wall shelter for wall mounting, single shelter for wall or back-to-back mounting and a mini shelter for projects where the permissible roof load is low.
- Fast Installation – Under 7 Minutes
The PV Shelters are made up of just three main (two for the wall shelter) components that can be assembled by two people in under 7 minutes – ideal for fast-paced project timelines and remote installations. - Smart Stocking & Transport Design
Storage and transport have never been simpler: the frame and roof arrive palletised with all parts easily stackable (=flat pack) and space-efficient in your warehouse or van. - Bespoke Sizing for Large Project-Specific Needs
No two solar projects are the same – and with Atkore Unistrut’s in-house engineering capabilities, we can provide tailored sizing to suit any site layout or specification depending on project size. - Backed by Wind load Calculations
Wind tables are used to determine the appropriate installation and safety measures in outdoor environments where wind exposure is a concern. Our wind tables provide guidance on the required weight based on wind load calculations, wind tunnel tests and CFD-analyses. - Compatible with Vergokan and Flexicon Systems
Designed with integration in mind, the PV Shelters work seamlessly with Vergokan cable management and Flexicon conduit systems for flexible and secure cable management.
These products are more than just PV-shelters – it’s part of our forthcoming Solar Product Portfolio, which is designed to streamline, simplify, and strengthen solar deployments across Europe. The PV Shelters are a first step towards a suite of products that combine Atkore heritage of engineering excellence with the demands of a fast-evolving renewable energy landscape.
If you're ready to elevate your solar installations with smarter infrastructure and solutions, Atkore has you covered.
